Three ways to work together. Honest pricing on every one.
Bespoke software is an investment, not a subscription. We won’t pretend a £40k project costs £4,000, and we won’t hide our day rate behind “Contact us for pricing”. Here’s how it actually works.

Who it’s for
You launched something good (with us or someone else) and you want it to keep getting better instead of getting brittle.
The questions everyone wants to ask first.
We’ve been doing this long enough to know what worries you. We use data — actual project history, not gut feel — to estimate, which is why our final invoices land within 10% of the original quote. Here are the answers we’d give over a coffee.
How accurate are your estimates, really?
For a fixed-scope project after a discovery sprint, our estimates have come in within ±10% of final cost on every project we’ve done in the last decade. We can be that confident because we don’t skip discovery.
What if my requirements change mid-project?
There is no `if`, they absolutely will change, they always do. Small changes within the agreed scope, we absorb. This is just part of the process. Larger changes become a clearly-priced change requests or get parked for the next phase. No surprises on either side.
Do you do hourly / time-and-materials?
For ongoing partnerships, yes — that’s essentially what the retainer is. For new builds, no. Hourly invites scope creep and punishes the people who plan well. Fixed scope is fairer to both of us.
Who actually does the work?
The senior developer who pitched you. We stay deliberately small so this is always true. No offshore teams, no graduate handoffs after the contract is signed.
What happens if I want to leave?
You take your code, your data and your hosting, and you go. We’ll help with the handover. Most clients don’t leave, but the door is always unlocked.
Can you tender for our project? We need to compare prices.
This is not how we usually work, but we can do it. A tender assumes the discovery phase has already been done by yourselves or another agency. We can provide a detailed estimate based on this project scope.
Still not sure where you fit?
Most projects don’t arrive in a tidy box. Tell us what you’re trying to do and we’ll suggest the right starting point — even if it isn’t with us.
