How we engage

An investment you keep, not a subscription you rent.

We don’t sell seats or hide behind “contact us for pricing.” We scope real work, agree what “done” looks like, and build software that belongs to you. Here’s how engagements usually start.

Two people at a kitchen table reviewing a printed estimate together over coffee.

Compare it to what you’re already paying for.

Spreadsheets, mismatched tools, and the person bridging them every day already have a cost: in time, errors, and missed decisions. Bespoke software isn’t cheaper theatre. It’s replacing that tax with something you own.

Discovery Sprint

Start here when the shape isn’t clear

A short, focused engagement to find what’s actually going wrong, and whether software is the right answer.

What you get

  • Senior time on your problem, not a junior survey
  • Time with the people who do the work
  • A clickable prototype you can react to
  • Clear requirements, right-sized
  • An honest plan for what to build next, or what not to

Who it’s for

You know there’s pain. You want certainty before committing to a full build.

Most common

Fixed-Scope Build

The most common path

A complete system with a defined scope, a clear finish line, and a single accountable team, end to end.

What you get

  • Discovery baked in (or building on a sprint you’ve already done)
  • Design, build and launch with regular demos
  • Migration from what you use today
  • Training for the people who’ll live in it
  • Stabilisation after go-live
  • Source code in your repository; you own it

Who it’s for

You have a clear problem and want a complete solution shipped without endless hourly drift.

Ongoing Partnership

For software you intend to grow

Reserved capacity to improve what you launched, plus the quiet work that keeps it reliable.

What you get

  • Senior time reserved for your roadmap
  • Monitoring, backups and security hygiene
  • Regular roadmap conversations
  • Priority support from the team who built it
  • No long-term lock-in

Who it’s for

You’ve shipped something good and want it to keep getting better, not brittle.

The honest bit

The questions everyone asks first.

We’ll talk numbers on a call, in the context of your operation, not as a menu on a webpage. Until then, here’s how we think about the work.

Why don’t you list prices?

Because a number without your context is theatre. The right investment depends on what you’re replacing, how messy the workarounds are, and what “done” means. We’ll scope that with you, plainly, before you commit.

How do you keep estimates honest?

We don’t skip discovery. Once the shape is clear, we fix the scope and the commercial model so neither of us is guessing. If the work grows, we say so and price the change. No silent drift.

What if my requirements change mid-project?

They will; they always do. Small moves inside the agreed scope, we absorb. Larger shifts become a clear change request or land in a later phase. No surprises on either side.

Do you do open-ended hourly builds?

For ongoing partnerships, capacity is reserved and used against a roadmap. For new builds, we prefer fixed scope. Open-ended hours invite creep and punish people who plan well.

Who actually does the work?

The senior people you meet. We stay deliberately small so that stays true. No bait-and-switch handoffs after the contract is signed.

What happens if I want to leave?

You take your code, your data and your hosting. We’ll help with the handover. The door is unlocked; that’s what ownership means.

Ready when you are

Not sure which path fits?

Most work doesn’t arrive in a tidy box. Tell us what you’re trying to fix and we’ll suggest the right starting point, even if it isn’t with us.
